Deerleap Florals is a boutique floral design studio based in Victoria, specializing in sustainable floral practices led by designer Caitlyn Neufeld.
Caitlyn began her creative journey as a graphic designer, developing a refined eye for colour, composition, and detail. While she loved the precision and artistry of design on a screen, she found herself drawn to the tactile, ever-changing beauty of the natural world. This curiosity led her to spend seasons working on organic farms, learning the rhythms of the earth, the language of plants, and the importance of sustainability in cultivation.
It was in these fields that her two passions, design and nature, began to merge. She fell in love with the transformative power of flowers as both art and living expression, and realized she could bring the same intentionality and visual storytelling from her graphic design background to floral arrangements.
In 2021, she founded Deerleap Florals to bring her creative expertise to the event industry. Today, the team at Deerleap Florals specializes in sustainable, seasonally inspired arrangements. Caitlyn’s connections with local farmers guide her process as the lead designer, creating floral experiences that are thoughtful, artful, and rooted in sustainability, connecting the beauty of the earth with the visions of her clients.

Local first
Sourcing organically grown local flowers first allows us to deliver the best of the best, build meaningful relationships and connect with our community. We get to use flowers picked at their peak with minimal transportation. This reduces the carbon footprint associated with importing cut flowers and the environmental impact of pesticide use. Choosing local flowers first honours the hard work and dedication of local farmers while adding beauty to our designs, we can’t think of a better fit.
Seasonality
Guided by the seasons, our work highlights flowers in their prime. For this reason, you won’t see us using peonies in October or ranunculus in August. We believe that flowers ground us in the present, capturing the beauty of the moment.
Sustainability
Sustainability is at the heart of our practice. We use reusable floral mechanics for all large-scale designs and avoid floral foam due to its environmental impact. All floral waste is composted on site, and we forgo single-use packaging. We believe it is our responsibility to protect and preserve the beauty of nature by minimizing our impact.
Garden grown
We cultivate a curated selection of blooms in our flower garden specifically for our clients. We believe that by growing a selection of our own flowers, we can offer unparalleled freshness and personalization from seed to final design. By using garden flower varieties whenever we can, we help maintain biodiversity by promoting the cultivation of uncommon flower species, avoiding the reliance on a limited range of mass-produced varieties.
